Peeking into the Future - Chapter 12
Peeking into the Future - Chapter 12
Ethan couldn't wait any longer, so in a slightly shaky voice, he asked Rachel the question he wanted to know the most.
"What? What do you mean intended. I didn’t make it up on purpose.”
It wasn't intentional. What does that mean again? His heart was pounding with anxiety.
“That would have been less impressive. The magic potion I made this time is of the highest quality, allowing you to realize the greatest desire that has been sleeping deep in your subconscious mind.”
Got it? High quality ingredients that makes your dreams come true! Rachel repeatedly, emphasizing.
“Hey, Rachel……. Don't play around."
Ethan denied Rachel's words, unable to deal with his trembling hands as if he had heard the shocking news. All of that day was a wish in my heart? Something he didn’t even consciously know? He couldn’t believe that the vivid experiences were because of his mind.
Ethan could not comprehend the truth of the potion that had been calmly exposed.
"Why would I play a joke on you? You've graduated, and you won’t be attending the academy anymore. I.….. I wanted to give you the best gift I could. Ethan, I made it with the hope that you would become a knight and succeed."
“…….”
Rachel found about the drug when inquiring to information dealers and the Magic Tower. She said that the efficacy of the precious magic drug allows one to experience the greatest wish in the subconscious. Rachel had no doubt that Ethan had experienced a brilliant future as he wished. It was obvious that he would have practiced sword training when he opened his eyes in the dream since he was a fool who only knew swords and practiced everyday in swordsmanship department at the Academy.
"You've seen it for yourself, haven't you? I made it with a strong will to support you. I've always wanted to show you the most ideal future you've ever wanted."
"Ah…….”
Shit.
His face felt cold. It felt like all the blood was draining out of his body. Ethan, who finally learned the truth, giggled like a madman and laughter like a miserable loner.
“So Ethan, what did you look like in the future you saw in your dream?”
He couldn't remember what he said to her after that. Ethan hastily concluded the conversation and was busy preparing to become a knight, so he sent Rachel back.
Ethan's stiff tone and smiling face made him look like someone who was angry with her. So Rachel wanted to say a few more words to him, but she had to lower her tail and leave his mansion. Contrary to the way her always had his manners, Ethan didn't even send her off.
After Rachel got into her carriage, escorted by her coachman, she came to one conclusion. Ethan Jackal was angry at her.

‘Do I like Rachel?’
Skipping his meal, Ethan sat at the bedside and constantly asked himself the same question. Of course, when he met Rachel today, he became more and more conscious of her than usual, and his nerves were aroused by every little meaningless act. However, it must have been because he had hallucinations, rather than having special feelings.
But, it didn't seem like Rachel was lying. The image of her drooping her eyebrows while conveying her heart showed that she sincerely supported Ethan’s decision.
There was no reason to make magic drugs by paying for ingredients equivalent to the price of several dresses decorated with jewels. In addition, according to Rachel, it was a recipe that she had worked hard to get in and out of various organizations. Ethan was also forced to dispel his doubts about her potion, as she was the source of all her trust.
In his hallucinations, he married Rachel and she loved him. Although he did not want to believe it, there was also the conclusive evidence of his spontaneous desire for Rachel’s body for all night long.
Ethan felt suffocated and distraught again when he thought that everything he believed to be the future that was set in stone was instead made of his own expectations.
‘…… Since when?'
