Dreams of the Holy Knight - Chapter 13
“As long as you stay by my side and do what you are told to do, I will give you everything. You will be my wife anyway, so you should stop rebelling”
“No, I don’t need a groom with an ample and overflowing dowry. Know that I will go home and send a letter to break our engagement right away.”
Lilliana didn't even want to talk to him anymore. The feeling of betrayal rose to the end of her head, making it difficult to control her body. She hated herself for mistaking such a person for being kind and warm and trying to do her best for him. Even if there was no love, she was ashamed to think through a relationship of trust and consideration, she would have been able to give her heart to him.
She glared at him with tears gleaming in her eyes and then turned her back to return home. But his strong hands grabbed her arms and dragged her back.
“Let go!”
“You complicate things. Do you think Viscount Armand will allow you to break the engagement? I must teach an ignorant girl the virtue of obedience to her husband.”
She was dragged by the force to the sofa. His eyes, which were glaring with lust, slowly approached her. She struggled to escape, but she realized the difference between them that she couldn't overcome.
“Ugh…… Don't do this!”
“Shh…… I'll make you feel better. My Layla liked it too. Okay?"
"You crazy…… I am not Layla!”
“If you speaks harsh words from that pretty mouth, you mouth will become bitter.”
His lips moved towards her. She desperately tried to turn her head, but she was stuck by the force that held the back of her neck firmly. His squishy flesh that touched her was disgusting. Liliana bit his lip with all her might.
“Ugh!”
He hurriedly took his face away from her and covered the corner of his blood-stained mouth with the back of his hand. With one hand he still held Lilliana firmly. He looked at her laughably, like a hyena watching a small animal trembling.
“There is no point in resisting. If you conceive my child, you won’t be able to break our engagement.”
Ian forcibly removed Liliana's clothes. His eyes flashed with lust as her pale shoulders were exposed in the flowing dress. He took a deep breath, burying his face in the nape of her neck, holding Liliana as she struggled. Liliana trembled with goosebumps around her neck.
“You are crazy.”
“It doesn’t matter if you I am crazy. I hope the first child will be a daughter who resembles you. I'm going to name her Layla."
Liliana's face turned white. It seemed like she hadn’t known Ian at all. He was terrible for hiding his true self and deceiving her. Anger and sadness engulfed her. Deep inside her body, something lumpy was about to explode.
“Ugh…… Let me go!”
The moment he touched her hand to remove more of her clothes, Liliana struggled with all her might. At that moment, a white light flashed from her body and threw him away.
“Cough!”
He was thrown back and bumped into the table, and he wrapped himself around his shoulder and groaned. Liliana quickly picked up the loose clothes and hurried out of the office.
In this unreal situation, it was difficult to get a hold of her mind, but she had to not think about anything except running away.
‘What was that light just now? If I get out of here and go home, will my parents be on my side?'
As Liliana ran outside, her complexion darkened. Thinking of her parents, who were overjoyed as she became engaged with Count Alphonse, she was not convinced that they would allow her to break up her engagement.
'I might be dragged back when I get home.'
If he hides his true self and persuades her parents with that friendly smile, her parents who were already friendly to him would send her back to the Count.
Where should she go? Freesia had been staying with Marquis Bertol since her engagement, and Diana would be back at her estate. If she took the carriage, her coachman would inform the Viscount of her destination.
“I have nowhere to go.”
She ran towards the downtown area, barely relying on her blurred vision as tears welled up. She had to go to a crowded place before he would chase her. That way, he would have a hard time finding her.

At that time, an oracle came down after more than 300 years. Pope Urban I, the first to hear of the oracle, went to the Imperial Palace and informed the emperor.
“The Goddess said that the flower of Armand will receive the goddess’ power and seal the gates of the Demon Realm.”
“Finally, we can fill the cracks. By the way, the flower of Armand?”
The emperor gave him a puzzled look, and the Pope cleared his doubts.
“It is said that Viscount Armand has a daughter named Liliana. She seems to be referring to the lady.”
“Then it is not the coming of the saint! Don't you think you should bring her here quickly?"
“I have sent Sir Klein to Viscount Armand, so you will be able to see the Saint soon.”
The emperor's face was flushed by the news of the Saint's return. Was it because the Goddess had finally settled the karma of the imperial family? In the greed of the moment, he closed his eyes as he reflected on the past years which he had to go through. Prayers of repentance and gratitude slowly flowed out of his mouth.

Noel, who arrived at Viscount Armand's to meet the Saintess who appeared after more than 300 years, heard that she was not with the Viscount.
“Where did she go?”
“Perhaps at Count Ethel’s. We sent a message to them.”
The Armand couple, who heard of the oracle, paced and looked at Noel. They could not believe the glorious event of a few hundred years. On such an important day, where did Lily go?
“I think it would be faster for me to go and pick her up. And I need someone to confirm her identity”
“I’m, I’m Liliana’s exclusive maid!”
Betty hesitated to raise her hand at the sudden surprising news. Her lady was a saint! She wanted to find her quickly and share this wonderful news.
Noel took Betty to Count Ethel’s. Count Ethel's butler came out and informed them that it had been quite some time since she had left.
“Do you know where she went?”
“I don’t know about that……, I saw the carriage leaving the mansion and heading to the right.”
“Well, then she might have gone to Count Alphonse! He’s someone who will marry the young lady.”
Betty, who was listening to their conversation, jumped out and spoke her own hypothesis.
“Marriage?”
He didn’t know why, but when he heard that, he felt unpleasant for no reason. With a brief sigh, Noel without delay turned to the County of Alphonse.
But she was not even at Count Alphonse’s. He was told that the Count was lying down because he was not feeling well, and the Count's butler came and told him only that she had left the mansion alone.
He shook his head in annoyance as the situation became more complicated than he had expected. When Betty heard the news that she was gone, she also stamped her feet next to him.
“My lady is not like that! Something must have happened, Sir Knight! We have to find the lady. Where has she gone alone in this dangerous world?”
Noel questioned Betty to figure out where she had gone. Betty said that this was the only house she could have gone to today, and that she did not often go out except to stop by the downtown area and buy books or go to the temple. Noel, who was listening to her, turned and strode outside.
“Let’s go ahead and see if she is downtown. That is the only place left.”

In front of the fountain, there were people going shopping, people running around busily, merchants who were soliciting, and porters carrying goods to and from.
A familiar voice could be heard in Liliana's ear, who was squatting on a corner bench and sobbing.
"Miss! Sir Knight! My Lady is here!”
“Heuk…… Betty?”
Betty grabbed the hem of her skirt and ran hurriedly to her. Maybe her parents, who received Ian's remarks, went looking for her? Liliana's eyes, which were looking at Betty with wary eyes, soon became as large as crystal ball.
From behind Betty, Noel was approaching her with his eyes fixed on her.
“Lily……?”
