Delicious Sacrifice - Chapter 18
Delicious Sacrifice - Chapter 18
But it didn’t feel as disgusting as when she bit into raw meat. Miela, amazed at her own transformation, looked back at the monster holding up one of the gangsters by the neck. The limbs had already fallen off, and the tattered veins and bones were dangling.
“Serian…….”
The monster immediately responded to Miela’s small voice calling its name.
He threw away its tattered body and walked straight toward Miela.
Her worries that he might get angry and tear her apart like the others were for nothing. The warm, worried gaze directed at her said everything.
The monster reached out to Miela but noticed his hands stained with blood so he quickly withdrew and wiped the blood on his clothes but Miela quickly grabbed the monster’s arm with both hands.
“I’m sorry I’m late. I didn’t listen to the village on purpose…….”
“No, you’re not late. You came right on time. Thank you.”
Miela placed her cheek against his bloody palm.
The sticky, slimy texture and the warmth of the palm was transferred to her. Blood was good, after all. If only it could connect with the warmth of the monster.
“Mi, Miela! Mielaaaa! No! She’s mine! Miela is mine!”
At that moment, Jack’s scream from far away interrupted them. It seemed that the monster hadn’t killed him even though he was a fellow villager.
Jack, limping and running, covered in blood, looked out of his mind.
He had kidnapped and imprisoned her. No matter how much he had protected her from the gang, it was possessiveness. Terrible selfishness that even he did not acknowledge what he really wanted.
In the end, to Jack, she was not a human but a pet.
The gratitude that had been building up disappeared.
Miela looked back at him with cold eyes that did not show any sympathy. She did not feel sorry for him. At that moment, she was only annoyed that he was interrupting her reunion with the monster.
“Should I kill him?”
The monster that read Miela’s mind asked.
Miella looked at Jack, who was approaching her, with cold eyes.
“Mi, Ella, Miel, ugh, ugh!”
Jack could no longer walk, and he writhed on the ground like a worm. But he persistently did not stop coming to Miela.
The wounds he had received from the gang were so great that he would likely die on his own if left alone.
Miela watched Jack’s final moments as he groaned and withered away.
She didn’t need that kind of person anymore. It had been a long time since she stopped caring about the village. She now lived in the monster’s castle, not the village. It was much less lonely there, and much warmer there.
She couldn’t leave the village, so she lived with her eyes closed. She thought that begging was better than not starving, and that hard work was better than nothing.
Now she knew that wasn’t true. She didn’t have to pretend not to see like an idiot.
“Keuk…… Mi, ugh…….”
Jack, who had reached Miela’s feet, grabbed the hem of her dress with his bloody hands. Miela roughly pulled the dress away.
“Kke……!”
Jack’s hand fell off. The groaning stopped.
Jack would slowly die like this.
It was the end.
With Jack, and with this town.
Miela took one last look around the town. A small, insignificant village. It was the town she had been most attached to out of all the towns she had ever lived in, but when she looked back, it was nothing special. It was just a small town with no reason to desperately cling to it or be obsessed with it.
Miela’s life no longer existed here.
Miela looked back at the monster.
“Let’s go back.”
Finally, a welcoming smile filled her face as she headed home.
The monster smiled naturally and hugged Miela. As he took a step into the forest, he glanced at the town for a moment.
“What should we do about the food now? Should I catch another one?”
Even though he didn't want the villagers to come, he didn't forget to take care of Miela because he was worried about what to feed her.
Miela smiled and shook her head.
The monster raised its eyebrows with a puzzled expression, but did not ask twice. As expected, he seemed to dislike the villagers. Miela giggled at the honest response and carefully stroked her lower abdomen.
“I don’t think I’ll need it anymore.”
She was no longer a villager. She was the monster’s family. Thinking that way, she didn’t miss the village food.

Jack was found the next morning.
He had been absent from home so often recently and had not done much village work, so they wondered what had happened. That’s why they didn’t look for him even after the sun went down.
The gang that disappeared with Jack were also people who had such bad behavior that they didn’t bother looking for them at home. They would often gather at night, drink heavily, and harass other people’s animals or women.
If they had caused trouble, they would have caused trouble, but they were not ones to be a victim of trouble, and would have gone back to their own homes and muttered that they were sorry. They didn’t show up the next morning, but the villagers thought they must have gotten drunk and passed out somewhere.
Until one of the villagers discovered and opened the locked warehouse door that had been left unused for a long time and was now rattled open.
“Ugh, ugh!”
“What’s going on?”
“In, inside the warehouse, inside the warehouse!”
Most of the villagers were experienced hunters and were not afraid of blood. However, they could not get used to human blood.
The village was turned upside down by the corpse of a young man with his head split open. He had been struck down by Miela’s axe.
“Where are the rest of them! They didn’t catch one and run away, did they?”
“My kid wouldn’t be like that!”
“If it’s like that, Jack is also nowhere to be seen!”
They were completely convinced that they would never be killed by a wild animal, but they were confused by the first murder.
“Let’s find the rest first and then discuss! Each of you split up and search thoroughly!”
The village elder also pressed his pounding heart with tension and gathered the people.
His son, Jack, was nowhere to be seen. It was difficult to remain calm. He could only give instructions while pretending to be calm because he had a long history of ruling people.
The people naturally dispersed according to the elder’s words.
The village was not large. Since all the villagers had gathered and dispersed, it was easy to find the rest.
Soon, people gathered at the entrance of the forest. Everyone was shocked by the sight of the gang reduced to pieces of meat with a stiffened Jack lying on top of them.
“Ugh, uh-uh!”
Before they could even discuss the matter of the situation, they were shocked by the level of brutality.
Some people collapsed because they couldn’t even stand still, some burst into tears at the sight of familiar shoes, and some gasped in shock even though they were not related. Everyone expressed their shock in various ways.
“Ugh……!”
Some even vomited at the gruesome sight.
The elder went through the chaos and approached Jack. Under his heavy footsteps, the flesh of the gang members was trampled. The cries, which were almost screams, grew louder.
The elder clenched his fists and turned Jack’s head.
“…… Jack?”
“…… heu…….”
Surprisingly, Jack was still alive.
“Jack! Oh, my God! Jack, can you hear me? What the heck is this…….”
But that was all for Jack.
The life he had barely managed to hold on to in the sea of blood soon ended. However, his obsession that he could not let go of until the very end was such that he left a single word.
“Mon…… ster…….”
“Jack, Jack?! Jack!”
Even the elder, who had always been calm, lost his reason and cried. No one blamed him for that.
Those who had been weeping in despair at the gruesome scene first collected the torn bodies. It took quite a while to gather the bodies, hold a funeral, and erase the traces that had been engraved on each person’s life.
It was enough time for the blades pulled out of the mud pit to be fully etched with anticipation.
The people who gathered at the elder’s house recognized each other’s faces one by one.
They lost their children.
They lost their families, their siblings, their friends.
No matter how much they had caused them pain, they could not simply say, “It’s okay that they are dead.” In any case, they were something that filled their lives. They had suddenly, unintentionally lost them.
The anger caused by their loss was strong and great. It was enough to spread into a flame large enough to block their vision.
“What kind of monster is this that we have to endure the murder of our family!”
“That’s right!”
“We even offered sacrifices. But what is this? Even after offering sacrifices, something this horrible has happened!”
“The monster is just a mindless monster. We were afraid of a monster that was no different from a wild beast, and we worshipped it for no reason, and now this is happening.”
The people’s eyes met.
“…… Let’s get rid of it.”
